Plymouth Mayflower Games 2023
The Cardiff Chameleons Bowls team headed for Plymouth to compete in the Mayflower Games Bowls Tournament, on Saturday 10th June. After a Practice Session at the Plymouth Life Centre and catchup with friends from Plymouth, New Quay and Pembroke everyone attended a social evening at the Devonport RFC, our thanks to the Mayflower Specials volunteers for a great evening.
Sunday the 11th was competition day, everyone was up early for the Journey from the Hotel, back to the Plymouth Life Centre for the Competition. The whole of the Chameleons team performed well and after a gruelling six hours of bowling in a very hot arena, our team of ten bowlers, came away with six Gold and four Silver Medals from the four divisions they competed in, which was a brilliant result. My sincere thanks to all the Family members and Volunteer’s who drove down to Plymouth and assisted on the green, a tiring weekend but the results made it all worthwhile.
