Award Presentation 2019

The Cardiff Chameleons Bowls section held their Award Presentation on Friday 13th which was very well attended by bowlers and their families.

Over the past three months, 20 Bowlers have been competing for the Daw Family Singles Shield and the Louise Daw Pairs Trophy. The Singles competition was this year split into two divisions due to the number of entries.

The winner of the Division 2 singles Trophy, was won convincingly by Antanas Schiastney, and the runner up was one of our newcomers Heather Williams who was joint second with Meilir Sion but took the runner-up trophy by shot difference.

The Division 1 Singles Shield was won by Millie Campbell, with Naomi Baelz and Paul Rogers joint second, Naomi took the runner-up Trophy by shot difference.

The Louise Daw Pairs Cup went down to the final game on presentation evening and was eventually won by Alan Beech and Gareth Howell. The Runner’s-up were James O’Brien and Luke Reynolds.  Naomi Baelz and Richard Trenwith finished in third place.

Thanks to all who helped out over the past months, without them we would not have been able to get through a busy competition schedule. My thanks also to all who helped out on presentation evening and those who provided an excellent buffet.

Barrie.
